Gift Certificate / Lesson Package

Gift certificates may be purchased for any amount of lessons (1 hour-6 hours, 10, 15 or 20.) Simply contact us if you have any questions.

But six hours is the usual/most common Wedding Dance lessons gift package.

After six hours/lessons, the couple is beginning to feel comfortable on the dance floor dancing together. Their First dance will more polished and their confidence will be apparent. In six lessons we generally begin to learn the steps and rhythms of several different dances. Or we can focus entirely on the best dance for their song, becoming comfortable at performing any step, at any time. Combined with a simple choreographed opening and ending, a couple will look elegant and feel at ease performing their dance.

No matter how many dances we actually work on, the primary focus will, of course, be on the steps and character of the specific wedding dance, learning step sequences, turns, even choreographing short sections. The personally designed opening and ending will add a nice flair.

Please Note: In general, choreographing your entire wedding dance is not generally advised for beginning dancers as, if there's a mistake, it is difficult to recover. (That being said, choregraphing a dance does offer several options and opportunities, but a few extra lessons may be required.)

My emphasis is on learning how to dance. In learning several steps and rythms, an understanding of different dances and types of music, and particularly in how the character of the dance is a tool for interpreting the music being played, you will really begin to understand how all forms of dancing work, able to appreciate dancing when you see it, but most importantly, able to dance easily and expressively yourselves.

If you are in a time crunch but want to make the most of your lessons,
you can sometimes compress these 6 (55) minute lessons into
four lessons lasting one and a half hours.

A Private Lesson guarantees optimal individual attention from the instructor. However, you are NOT guaranteed a private room. A Studio is typically shared with other Private Lessons taking place.

The music is also shared on an equal basis.
